Favorite Movie Soundtracks Part One

AUTHOR’S NOTE

Okay, so I’ve decided to begin going through a series of movie soundtracks that I think any music fan should really sit down and listen to. This may lean more towards fans of rock music, but that’s my thing so you have to deal with it. I am going to present to you now the first part of this series. I am pretty certain there are only three soundtracks I feel are necessary to listen to and enjoy because they are effin awesome. I will be writing an article for each of them over the next series of days and/or when I feel like it.*

The first soundtrack I am choosing to share was one of my favorites in the early 2ks. I was reading The Vampire Chronicles of Anne Rice’s creation in which a pair of brother’s fighting over a doppelganger was not involved, nor was there a Sparkle Dracula or a Casino Flea Dog. The series was prominently featured around a Tony Starkish vampire named LeStat. The third book in the series “The Queen of the Damned” was made into a movie starring the bad guy from A League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. The movie was pretty good, but did not follow the book at all. It combined aspects from the second and third books in the series, changed major plotlines to fit a Hollywood structure and cast for the lead dead chick, a woman who is now dead. Aaliyah, who by the way was wicked hot in that movie, but that’s just a side note.

Now the soundtrack featured a lock of work from Jonathan Davis, whom was responsible for a large portion of the music on the soundtrack, where a handful of other leadmen from popular rock bands sang. Now if you like rock music, and are a fan of modern stuff then you know who Jonathan Davis is. He is the lead man of Korn, whom has recently reinvented themselves with a dubstep style. There was a time when Korn was just good ol’ rock music, and you can hear a lot of it here on this soundtrack through Jonathan Davis.

So if you have spotify, you can find this playlist below. If you do not and are unable to use spotify then I suggest you find some way to listen to this soundtrack. Enjoy.

*I really mean that it could be whenever, I often lack a sense of motivation to do things when I don’t feel like doing them, make any sense to you?
